Before Event 17
The origins of The Angel, hereby referred to as Entity #7, are unclear. Entity #7 traces back to ancient times, presumably shortly after the Human-Monster War. The first known mention of Entity #7 can be found in the Delta Rune prophecy, in which it is called an "Angel who has seen The Surface". Despite the symbol of Delta Rune serving as a coat of arms of the House of Dreemurr, no remaining members of the royal family have records that could shed light on the deeper symbolism behind Entity #7.
At the end of the Era of Peace, a human child was adopted by the ruling monarchs Asgore Dreemurr and Toriel Dreemurr. They were believed to be Entity #7 until their sudden death due to buttercup poisoning and prince Asriel's attempt at breaking the barrier using their SOUL, followed by a declaration of war by king Asgore Dreemurr.  
After Event 17
The Eighth Human, known as Frisk, was found to fit the criteria of Entity #7 as defined by the Delta Rune prophecy. However, soon after their fall it was discovered they have been controlled by an invasive SOUL, hereby referred to as Entity #█ (see File #█). Entity #█ is the sole proprietor of Frisk's Determination and the Save Files, able to manipulate both at will as it was evident during the UNDERTALE game loop. Noticeably, after the release of SURVEY_PROGRAM Entity #█ has abandoned UNDERTALE as a whole in favor of DELTARUNE. Despite all Determination disappearing from the world of UNDERTALE, it is sustained in a stasis; possibly due to narrative retention by Entity #█. One theory suggests that Entity #█ may never forget.
Several events within the world of DELTARUNE have suggested correlations between Entity #7 and Entity #█, including but not limited to: direct fulfillment of the Delta Rune prophecy through a vessel, unscrutable nature that currently has only been understood by two beings, lack of its existence, lack of our existence, etc. An experiment is set to be conducted to either prove or disprove the claim.

Stage 1: The manifestation of The Angel in its normal condition.
 
Notes: Directly corresponds to the folkloric depitctions of The Angel from the Delta Rune prophecy of both worlds.

 

Stage 2: The Angel begins transforming. Note the sharpened wings and slightly oblate main orb.
 
Notes: This has not been observed before. The effects of the Entity #█ are being investigated as of this narrative point.

 

Stage 3: Major deformations. Disproves several theories on the structure of the Angelic form.

Stage 4: It's complete.

The experiment goal was to discern the true meta-nature of The Angel.
 
He stubbornly insisted to conduct this experiment.
 
To deduce if its possible to gaze into your oblivion if we used The Angel as a vessel of your desire.
 
But it seems this was wrong. Who's to say if you are it, or it is you?
